Ross established Open Strategic Communications following a management buyout of Weber Shandwick in Northern Ireland in September 2020.

Prior to this Ross was Managing Director of Weber Shandwick in  Northern Ireland, and led the  multi-award winning team since 2012, having joined in 2010 as the Head of Public Affairs.

A former Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in Northern Ireland, Ross has over twenty years strategic communications, media relations, public affairs and crisis and issues management experience across a wide range of sectors including energy, finance, transport and aviation, housing, sustainability, tourism, waste, construction, retail and property.

As a corporate communications, reputation management and crisis and issues management specialist, Ross has extensive experience of providing senior counsel to a wide range of public, private and social enterprise clients locally, nationally and internationally.
